The promo of Kaminey has already been appreciated and the audience just can not wait to see the movie hit the screens. While Shahid Kapoor is said to have played his role superbly in the movie, the real star of the film is Amol Gupte. Wondering where you heard that name? Amol Gupte is the man behind Taare Zameen Par, the ccreative director of the film and also the one who spun the wonderful script of the movie.

Amole Gupte will be first seen in the role of an actor and not a director. He had done his acting debut more than two decades back in miniscule roles in Holi and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander but now for the first time he is doing a full fledged role in Vishal Bharadwaj’s upcoming next, Kaminey.

Sources inform that Amole will be playing a negative role. In fact the film starring Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapur in the lead will have Amole playing the role of Kaminey and not Shahid as Kapur as it was being said earlier

With music by A.R. Rehman, Ghajini promises to be a chartbuster. The Behka song was shot over a period of 20 days in South Africa with Aamir Khan sporting six different looks. Asin and Jiah Khan play the female leads opposite Aamir Khan in Ghajini.

Shot on a huge budget of Rs. 90 crores, Ghajini is set for a release on 25th December.

Shahid has a horde of talented kid artistes including the popular tv soap Baalika Vadhu’s lead artiste , Avika Gor. Nana Patekar, Sushant Singh and Ayesha Takia also essay important roles in the film.

Reliance Big Pictures makes their foray into commerical cinema with Paatshala. The movie is directed by debutante Milind Ukey, who has written the story and dialogues for the popular animated children film, Hanuman. So will Paatshala click for Milind? The first look trailer atleast made us at movietonic, nostalgic of our school days. So here’s hoping to a rocking film, Paatshala!

While the rumors have been going around for a long time that Imran had signed the film, it’s only recently that the actor has finally given his nod. In case you are wondering what took Imran so long to give the nod to his maamujaan it’s the same old dates-issue.

Apparently, Imran’s dates were booked with Soham’s Luck but as luck would have it the dates of Luck got preponed which gives Imran time to do Delhi Belly.

Imran will be seen playing a young foreign returned guy in the sex comedy- Delhi Belly For the uninitiated, Delhi Belly is being directed by noted ad filmmaker Abhinay Deo.

Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Kidnap and now Delhi Belly, Imran Khan surely seems to be headed to become the next big thing in Bollywood.

“Children,” exults the creative director of Taare Zameen Par, one of the most important films of our times, “Children will be part of all my creative endeavours. I work with Aseema and other organisations. My aim is to work with them.”

Amole’s next film is called India Item. “I’m just about wrapping up the script that has 40 children in the cast. Like Taare Zameen Par, India Item will be a playground for my creativity. A part of the script is about rollerskating. When I saw Sammir Dattani in Mukhbiir I immediately wanted to cast him in one of the film’s adult roles of a rollerskater. To my surprise he turned out to be a national-level skating champion.”

Sammir plays the protagonist’s younger brother.

Says Amole, “For the pivotal role I want Salman Khan. There’s no second choice. I see myself as a soldier battling against injustice to children. That’s what Salman plays in India Item. It’s the role of what I’d call an uncalculated social worker. I’ve seen that look of spontaneous compassion in Salman’ s eyes. I’ve seen his innocence and purity in dealing with kids. He isn’t in it for fame or vanity.”

Strangely, Amole hasn’t even sent feelers to Salman yet. “I don’t need to. I know he won’t say no. I wanted to finish the script then go to him. Now I’m ready.”

Directed and written by Abbas Tyrewala the sound score hhas been done by none other than the genius AR Rahman while introducing yet another newbie to Hindi films as Telegu actress Genelia in the role of leading lady. Musicians Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy have a new ace up their sleeves. They’re going back to school, High School actually, as they compose music for a Disney film.

When Disney meets bhangra, what you get is truly fun. Disney television film High School Musical 2 is ready to woo its Indian audience with some very desi beats, courtesy music composers Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy. They have composed three additional songs to add to the musical — a first of its kind.

The film took them back to their high school days. Shankar Mahadevan reminisced, “I was a very good student and I used to always come first. I used to study seven hours a day. I used to attend every single lecture. I used to be the favourite of all the teachers… and whatever I am saying right now is a complete lie.”

His partner Ehsaan told us, “My high school memories consist of getting into trouble every week, detention twice or thrice a week at least, my mother getting letters from school saying I have flunked in this subject, I have flunked in that subject…”

Shankar quipped, “He didn’t even know that he flunked because he was not in school.”

Maybe we could also expect to see a lot more of the musical trio who are currently a hot favourite with Bollywood.

“After seeing Dil Chahta Hai, we are little inspired. We thought we’ll make a movie with three of us as the heroes.” Shankar said. Ehsaan had a few ideas up his sleeve as well. “We’re thinking of actually making a film, a horror film with the three of us, the c grade films you know,” he said.

Shankar added, “We’ll play the ghosts. So there also we’ll put one song, bhangra song where the ghosts will be dancing.”
