It's home turf for Shah Rukh and Farah as they have been on Koffee with Karan more than 4 times each! They jokingly remark, “We have been here almost as much as you”. Sanjay Dutt is going through a turmoil
and the ghosts of the '93 blasts are haunting him. Right now in jail, Sanju baba as he is fondly known is awaiting the Supreme Court's sentence.
Check out Sanjay Dutt and Priya Dutt(Sanjay Dutt's sister) chat with Karan Johar on the sets of Koffee With Karan about how the past 14 years have been. Sanjay Dutt get's real emotional in this rather senti Koffee With Karan episode. Sanjay's daughter who is studying law in the U.S. also makes an appearance and has Sanjay Dutt in tears.
The sweet Katrina Kaif and the dashing Lara Dutta
added a certain charm to the sets of Koffee With Karan
Katrina was at her diplomatic best. When asked about her relationship with actor Salman Khan, katrina refused to comment and went on to say some crap about Cancerian people that had Karan completely confused.
While Lara Dutta was rather cautious learning from the mistakes she made on the last season of Koffee With Karan. Though Katrina gave a good fight for the coveted Coffee Hamper it was Lara Dutta who took the goodies home, leaving a rather annoyed Katrina.
Here are some videos of the Koffee With Karan episode of Katrina Kaif and Lara Dutta. Watch and enjoy ....
The first season finale had Shah Rukh Khan hosting Koffee With Karan and shooting questions to none other than Big B. And as this season comes to a close, the audience is wondering who the guests will be ...
This Sunday will see the Topi Master Himesh Reshammiya sipping coffee with Karan Johar on the show Koffee With Karan.
Himesh Reshammiya is rather ubiquitous since those Aashiq Banaya days. From songs to more songs to more songs his nasal tone can be heard reverbating out of every nukkad, every restaurant and every disco. And now he has donned the cap(yes another Topi) of an actor with his latest albeit pathetic Super Hit : Aap Ka Surroor.
So if you are famous then you've to be on the seat with Karan sipping Koffee, while Karan in his archetypal style will try and stir up some controversy and get to some rather tricky questions in the Rapid Fire Round. So how could Himesh elude sipping Koffee with Karan? So this week, Himesh Reshammiya and Karan are going to have some rather strong Koffee and stir up a rather hot converstion.
So here's a brief preview into this Sunday's Koffee With Karan and Himesh....
Here are excerpts from the chat with Himesh Reshammiya and Karan Johar.
Karan: Welcome to Koffee with Karan Himesh… how does it feel to be on the show?
Karan: Firstly, congratulations on the super success of your film… I know a large section of the industry was surprised… but were you expecting this kind of success?
Himesh: I think… I just believed in God, destiny and somewhere I think everyone just prayed for me and that is something that worked for me
Karan: By everyone, you mean who, large sections of the industry were not praying for you…
Himesh: No, no… only that 1 %… people just felt that this can not happen, a singer not a very good looking guy…
Karan: As in, not conventional looking… not hero material?
Himesh: I think you are being nice to me… but, it was something that was unprecedented… when the film started, people did say, “paagal ho gaya hai”. I understand. But, when actually the film was declared a hit… then, people realized.
Karan: There were particular people, who were somehow targeting you… is there any one kind of person that you felt resentment towards?
Himesh: No… I really did not feel resentment towards anyone… because when you try something which is unprecedented… then people are going to… till you prove it… and when this film was releasing… and it was declared that is a hit… so many people called me and said, “very good”… congratulated me… and they said, that they felt it wouldn't work… so, its just that I was doing something new… something different… and it takes a little time to accept something that is unconventional…
Karan: Have you heard that behind your back there might be other singers who might be making fun of you?
Himesh: Yes… of course why not… but, you know, when they meet me… kitne composers ke saath milne ka mauka milta hain… pehli baar… phir woh opinion badal jati dete hain…
Karan: But one thing is… you keep very quite about your wife… you don't talk about her?
Himesh: Because she is a very simple girl…
Indian Idol, the first talent hunt show that not only gave singers a platform to exhibit their talent but also provided them with unparallelled fame and money ( a 1 crore contract). The first Indian Idol, Abhijeet Sawant
broke all records with his debut album Aap Ka Abhijeet. The other singers too like Prajakta Shukre
, Amit Sana and Rahul Vaidya also released their albums which struck gold.
But unfortunately the succees of Indian Idol 1 couldn't be carried forward by Indian Idol 2. Not only were the singers in the show lacking the charm of an Indian Idol but also the show too lacked it's inherent charm.
But now Indian Idol is back and it's back with a bang. Firstly the judges ( barring Anu Malik) have been changed. Javed Akthar, Alisha and Udit Narayan have inculcated a breath of fresh air into the show. Secondly the jodi of the anchors of Indian Idol 3 ( Mini Mathur and Hussain) look dashing and provide a new found charm to the show. But most importantly the contestants this time are young, confident and full of youthful exuberance. Yes and most importantly great singers. Each contestant has his/her own individuality and can be related to.
Do check out the debut music video song Robaroo of the Indian Idol 3 stars.

Madhuri Dixit was simply a dream on the sets of Koffee with Karan. She mesmerised one and all with her beauty and that typical Madhuri-1000- watt-smile. Why was the show only for one hour :( ? I could have kept looking at Madhuri for hoursand still not got bored. Karan Johar hats off to you for bringing Madhuri back on the screen for us fans. Surely now me all the more excited to watch Madhuri's comeback film with Yash Raj Films, Aaja Nachle.

Amul Star Voice of India directed by Gajendra Singh( the master of Indian Reality Tv shows) is in some kind of trouble. Apparently Alka Yagnik, one among the five judges of Voice of India has decided to call it quits from the music talent hunt show.
Alka Yagnik says that her reason for quitting the show are the constant altercations on the show regarding views about the contestants performances on the stage. Alka feels that having such constant fights with fellow judges is not good for her image and has therefore
decided that she no longer wants to continue her association with Amul Star Voice of India.
Why the fight?
Sources say that, "Aadesh, Jatin and Lalit were of the opinion that singers today do not have the range of yesteryear's maestros. This also mars music directors' creativity. Alka and Abhijeet however were of the opinion that the music directors today do not have the talent that the people in the golden era had. This led to an unpleasant debate. Alka felt that the music directors were being unfair."
Supposedly Aadesh Shrivastava was angry with Gajendra singh for calling Alka Yagnik as the melody queen. As he believed that no one other than Lata Mangeshkar should be referred to by that title.
An exasperated Alka says, "Unfortunate as it may be, I have decided to quit. There is too much heat there, the arguments and the noise only gets uglier. Everybody forever is trying to prove their point."
