Yash Raj Film's first offering for 2011 will be the romantic comedy Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. The movie directed and written by  Ali Abbas Zafar will see Imran Khan, Katrina Kaif and Pakistani pop singer, Ali Zafar in the lead. Ali Abbas Zafar has previously been an assistant director on a number of Yash Raj Films productions such as Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, Tashan, New York and Badmaash Company. Set in the upper middle class strata of North Indian society, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan is scripted as a musical romantic comedy which will see Imran Khan play the role of a brother who gets smitten to his brother's (Ali Zafar) bride! Mere Brother Ki Dulhan is all set for a 2011 release. The story of the movie is allegedly similar to the Hollywood movie, Dan In Real LIfe. Back home Onir's Sorry Bhai had a similar story.

Anurag Kashyap is back with his next flick, the movie has a rather odd title, That Girl In Yellow Boots and is a story of the quest of a girl for her father. In the journey of searching for her father, the girl is forced to work in a massage parlor and comes across many adversities. That Girl In Yellow Boots staas  Anurag's sweetheart Kalki in the lead. Kalki was earlier seen in Anurag Kashyap's Dev D. Apart from Kalki the movie also stars Naseeruddin Shah.. That Girl In Yellow Boots is  written by Kalki herself, has already received critical acclaim and will be screened at the forthcoming Venice Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival next month.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish starring Hrithik and Aishwarya Rai however has not been able to create much of a buzz. While the promos look amazing, the subject of the movie seems more arty and not to the interest of a large section of the audience. Guzaarish is set in Goa and has music given by Sanjay Leela Bhansali himself. Due to Hrithik's and Aishwarya's busy schedule Guzaarish initially got delayed. As a result though Bhansali wanted to start the shooting of the movie by early 2009, the start got delayed since Hrithik Roshan suggested to postpone the film until he wraps up his home production Kites. Deepika and Imraan Khan's next rom com, Break Ke Baad is about a couple who decide to take a break from their relationship and see if they really do love each other. The promos seem interesting and we hope that this will not be a disappointment like a few previous rom com flicks released this year. The music of Break Ke Baad has already started catching on with the audience. Vishal Shekhar's fresh music and Prasoon Joshi's catchy lyrics have done the trick.

Yash Raj Films next offering this year is Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh's Band Baaja Baarat. The movie is based in Delhi. Produced by Aditya Chopra, the film is about two people - Shruti and Bittoo - who are just out of Delhi University. A chance meeting brings them together to reluctantly start an  entrepreneurial venture - Wedding Planners. The two of them however decide that it will be only business and no love shuv. But in the city of love, doing a business of getting hearts together, can the couple look at a better opportunity. The film is directed by Maneesh Sharma, who worked with Aditya Chopra as an associate director on Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, with music by composers Salim-Sulaiman. A thing to be noted is that this is Anushka's third film and third one with Yash Raj Films too. Do you smell something cooking here? Catch a sneak peak at thee theatrical trailer of the movie. While the promo is good as are most Yash Raj Film promos, the absence of a strong actor in the lead may be the films initial biggest pitfall.

After the blockbuster Apne, Sunny Deol, Dharmendra and Bobby Deol, the Sardars of Bollywood are back with aa huge bang. The movie Jat Yamla Pagla Deewana is directed by Samir Karnik and is set for release early next year (2011). Jat Yamla Pagla has Dharmendra and Bobby playing  a crooked father-son pair based in Varanasi. Sunny plays a Canada based upright man who gets to know after two decades that he has a father and brother in Varanasi. The film is about Sunny's journey to his past.

The story of Tees Maar Khan revolves around the life of a conman who goes by the name of Tees Maar Khan. Tees Maar Khan is shameless and ruthless while he goes along cheating, conning and stealing. Tees Maar Khan, played by Akshay Kumar, is helped in his activities by associates Dollar, Soda and Burger and girlfriend Anya, played by Katrina Kaif. Tees Maar Khan is tested when he is assigned to steal antiques worth 500 crores from a moving train. Will Tees Maar Khan be successful in the ultimate heist which also involves a Bollywood actor? The audience will have to wait for two months while Farah Khan and her cast get ready for the promotion work. With music by Vishal and Shekhar, Tees Maar Khan is set for release on 24th December.

After blockbuster success with Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om, Farah Khan is back. But this time she has left out Shah Rukh Khan, her faithful lead hero of her previous two blockbusters. The movie titled Tees Maar Khan, stars Katrina Kaif, Akshay Kumar and Akshaye Khanna in the lead.  Salman Khan too plays a cameo in Tees Maar Khan. The film is set to release on 24 December 2010.  The music of the film is composed by the music duo of Vishal-Shekhar, lyrics are penned by Javed Akhtar and is slated to release in November.
