Dostana comes from the stable of Karan Johar’’s Dharma Productions. The movie though is directed by Karan’s assistant director Tarun Mansukhani. The name Dostana too is taken from Karan’s father, Yash Johar’s film, starring Amitabh and Shatrughan Sinha.

The story of Dostana is your typical Bollywood tlove triangle with a huge twist.  “The love triangle in the film is between Abhishek-Priyanka-John. Abhishek loves Priyanka in the film. But Priyanka likes John. Abhishek and John play good friends. So for the sake of friend Abhishek, John fakes as if he is a gay to repel Priyanka”.

That’s one hec of a comic love story, let’s see how its handled.

On learning that the boy loves a married woman, he advises him to kill the husband and chalks out the muder plan himself.

Deepika, Ranbir and Minisha are leaving no stone unturned to provide the maximum publicity for their upcoming release Bachna Ae Haseeno. While the Ranbir and Deepika offscreen romance has added a lot of anxiety among the audience to see the pair sizzle on the screen.

The Dus Ka Dum Celebrity Special episode had Ranbir Kapoor along with his (onscreen) leading ladies Deepika and Minissha Lamba, who were on the ‘Independence Day’ special show to promote their forthcoming film Bachna Ae Haseeno.

Even as they were shooting, Ranbir got very emotional because they were shooting at RK Studios. An emotion-filled Ranbir said that his grandfather (the late Raj Kapoor) shot his first film Aag in that studio, while his dad (Rishi Kapoor) shot for his first film Bobby there and now he too was shooting at the same place! Salman made the evening even more memorable for the teenage heartthrob Ranbir by presenting him a painting of Raj Kapoor that he specially painted for the chalet he has at RK. Surely making the experience memorable ffor one and all.

Bollywood’s hottest new comer, Deepika Padukone has added another feather to her cap. The talented actress has been voted as the sexiest woman in the world. Now, that’s some compliment coming from Maxim.

Deepika was quite surprised for topping the charts for most sexiest women. “I really didn’t expect it. I’m really excited. People always used to call me either cute or pretty, but no one ever called me sexy. I take it as a compliment,” Deepika said.

“There is nothing wrong in being called sexy. I think the term itself has been misunderstood. People think that a person is sexy only if she is wearing tiny clothes. But for me, being sexy is about being mysterious and having your own personality and certainly has nothing to do with a person’s fashion sense,” she held.

After the success of Om Shanti Om, opposite Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone is all set for her second film, Bachna Ae Haseeno. In the film, Deepika plays an NRI girl called Gayatri. “Gayatri is an independent girl who knows what she wants. She is focussed. She is modern as well as traditional in her thoughts. The role is very similar to the person I am.”

Deepika also has the Nikhil Advani directed, Chandini Chowk To China, opposite Akshay Kumar.

Imran Khan who wooed the audience with his chocolate boy looks and charasmatic acting in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, is surely stepping into the shoes of his uncle, Aamir Khaan. THat is the reason, he has decided to take on a rather challenging role in Sanjay Ghadvi’s Kidnap.

Imran Khan will be essaying a negative role of a kidnapper. He plays the part with great elaan as the promo shows, but onnly time will tell when the movie releases, if Imran can get fear into the audience’s mind. A very difficult thing to do, considering his sweet looks.

Imran,  plays a character with shades of grey, who kidnaps Sanjay Dutt’s daughter played by Minissha Lamba. Sanjay Gadhvi who has been the man behind the Dhoom series is directing this action thriller. Kidnap is all set for a release on 2nd October  2008.
