Sanjay Gupta’s Dus Kahaniyaan is supposed to be one helluva cinematic experience with 10 great stories with a great starcast to back it up.

After the success of  Aankhen, Waqt and Namastey London, Akshay Kumar has become the lucky mascot of Vipul Shah. He has now signed Akshay Kumar for his next venture titled Singh Is King.

But unlike his previous films, Vipul Shah will not be directing  Singh is King. The movie infact willl be directed by Anees Bazmee who has delivered hits such as Deewangee and No Entry. There are also rumors that Katrina will star opposite Akshay Kumar in this comedy action movie, Singh Is King.

Dhol stars Sharman Joshi,Tusshar Kapoor,Tanushree Dutta,Rajpal Yadav,Payal Rohatgi and Kunal Khemu in the lead. The movie is a typical Priyadarshan comedy. Dhol is a story of four good for nothing guys who are desperately in search of a rich girl to marry, so as to have a luxurious life.

Om Shanti Om is Farah Khan’s next commercial potboiler after the success of her first film, Main Hoon Na. Om Shanti Om stars Deepika Padukone and Shahrukh Khan in a double role.

This is a story of ‘Om’ and ‘Shanti’. His film started in 1977 and ended in 2007. He was a junior artist in the 70’s. She was a superstar of the 70’s.

He was her biggest fan. She was his biggest inspiration. He was madly in love. She was ready to give up everything she had for love.

 Rituparno Ghosh’s Last Lear has achieved much critical acclaim in film festivals. THe movie is now set for an international release. And here we bring to you the exclusive first look from Last Lear. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Preity Zinta, Divya Dutta, Shefali Shah and Arjun Rampal.

Last Lear is produced by Planman Motion Pictures  and is based on Utpal Dutt’s play, Aajker Shahjahan.

Badki ( Rani Mukherjee ) and Chutki ( Konkona Sen Sharma ) live a fun-filled life in Banaras, playing pranks, sneaking off to see a forbidden mujra, and soaking up all the excitement that goes on the ghats of the Ganga. Badki is aware that the family is in dire straits, but she and her mother ( Jaya Bachchan) protect Chutki at all costs. When things get worse, Badki decides to go to Mumbai and seek a living for the family. Alone and unsupported in the midst of the urban jungle of Mumbai, Badki battles with dark forces, keeping her focus on her purpose to support her family and continue Chutki’s education.

She deliberately morphs into someone else, leading a secret life full of murky compromises. When Chutki comes to Mumbai to work, things take a dramatic turn. Badki’s life turns into a minefield, as she has to hide her secrets from Chutki. Chutki finds success at work, and love ( Kunal Kapoor) that delights her heart. Badki finds the magic of love( Abhishek Bachchan) , but lets it slip away before it can blossom, as she believes it’s not in her destiny. She battles menace and blackmail alone, not letting these dark shadows fall on Chutki or her family.

Even as rumors of Shahid and Kareena Kapoor are making rounds gossip circles, the two are getting geared for their romantic comedy Jab We Met.

Jab We Met is the story of two strangers who meet on a train and as time passes they realise that they are something more than just strangers.

Industrialist Aditya (Shahid Kapur) feels defeated as the girl he loves is getting married. He drifts out of the gathering, and finds himself on a train, speeding away into the night. A young girl Geeta (Kareena Kapoor), who is leaving Mumbai to elope with her boyfriend, meets Aditya. She irritates him to the point of leaving the train. They are stranded on a desolate station, without luggage or money. They reach Ambala, her house, through highs and lows, only to be mistaken as lovers by the family. Geet then plans to run away to Manali to meet the man of her dreams.

After the abysmal Pyaare Mohan which was handicapped as its main characters, the king of comedy Indra Kumar is back with another mad cap comedy, Dhamaal. Starring a bunch of talented comic heroes, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh and Sanjay Dutt. Indra Kumar has promised that Dhamaal will bring back the same magic of his old films like Beta, Raja, back. Roy (Riteish Deshmukh). Who believes that he is the best detective in the world. But bungles up every job he gets and ends up with egg on his face and a kick on his backside.

Manav (Javed Jaffrey). Who actually happens to be the biggest idiot in the world, but is blissfully unaware about it. Blessed with foot in the mouth disease, he inadvertently lets the cat out of the bag with disastrous results; all the time, every time.

Aditya aka Adi (Arshad Warsi). Whose encyclopedic half knowledge about everything only adds to the great expertise of this group. Adi’s musical expertise has people showering him with money and praise till they discover it’s a tape, not him playing all that great music. Then he’s showered with abuses.

The final component of the group is Mr. Scared of everything. Boman (Ashish Choudhary). Terrorized by his father, bulled by his friends, he does his best to avoid getting into trouble but ends up attracting trouble, like a magnet.

Some of the most well made movies ( Swades) lose the race at the box office but the same masala entertainers like Heyy Babyy hit gold at the box office.So can you blame film makers when they make such crap films over and over again. If you watch them, they are going to make them.

Hey Babyy had a block buster opening worldwide with a record shattering opening weekend collection of Rs. 41 crore.

HEYY BABYY has also taken the biggest opening in the US this year and the biggest screen average (6039 pounds) in the UK. The film has already debuted at number 10 at the UK box office this week end. It is also touted to be Akshay Kumar’s biggest opening ever and is touted to takeover as the ‘Overseas King’ with consecutive hits overseas. A super success in the 3 major international markets in the US and UK, and in Australia reaching the coveted $ 100000/- mark in the opening week end.
