After Hulchul and Hungama, Priyadarshan and Akshay Khanna combo will try and woo audiences once again with the comedy Mere Baap Pehle Aap.

Like most films of Priyadarshan, Mere Baap Pehle Aap too takes inspiration from down South. The film is a remake of Malayalam hit Ishtam, directed by Sibi Malayil.

Mere Baap Pehle Aap stars Akshaye Khanna, Genelia D’Souza, Paresh Rawal, Om Puri, and Rajpal Yadav in pivotal roles.

Nikhil Advani who started his career with one of Bollywood’s best made films Kal Ho Na Ho but followed it up by perhaps the worst film, Salaam-E-Ishq, has a point to prove this time round with Chandini Chowk To China.

Chandini Chowk To China earlier known as Mera Naam Chin Chin Choo and also Made in China, is written by Sridhar Raghavan. The movie also stars Deepika Padukone who is likely to play a double role in the film.

Ram Gopal Verma’s Sarkar Raj, a sequel to his successful film Sarkar, is gearing for a release. And here is a preview of Sarkar Raj for our readers.

When Anita Rajan (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan), CEO of Sheppard power plant, an international Company, brings a power plant proposal to set up in rural Maharashtra, before the Nagre’s and insightful Shankar (Abhishek Bachchan) is quick to realize the benefits the power plant cant bring to the people. After convincing Sarkar (Amitabh Bachchan) who is against it for various reasons, Shankar undertakes a journey along with Anita to the villages of Maharashtra to mobilize support of the masses.

However, things are not what they seem to be, from shady fixers with an eye on multi-million kick-backs or wannnabe Shankars that are ready to incite millions of people against the highly controversial project in a state that is witnessing the worst of coalition politics.

 Sarkar Raj Movie Preview

Successful filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya has been rumoured to be writing a script that will be a sequel to the 90s hit film Hum Aapke Hain Kaun.

According to therumors making round , the sequel will pick up the story 15 years after Prem (Salman Khan) and Nisha (Madhuri Dixit) got married. The pair have two young kids of their own and are living a happy family life. However, problems arise when a runaway bride (Amrita Rao) seeks shelter in their house. Things get even worse when she falls in love with their clean-freak neighbor (Shahid Kapur). The story has a further twist when the bride’s would be groom (John Abraham) turns up and woos her back.
Before putting pen to paper, Sooraj made sure that the stars of the film were onboard and got them to agree to star… once the script was completed.

Salman Khan has already set aside dates in 2009 for the film so that they match up for the time when Madhuri Dixit’s children are on school vacation.

Chandni Chowk To China is a  Nikhil Advani’s third film after the blockbuster Kal Ho Na Ho and the dismal Salaam-E-Ishq.  The film stars Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles.

Chandini Chowk To China earlier known as Mera Naam Chin Chin Choo and also Made in China, is written by Sridhar Raghavan who also wrote Khakee (2004) and Bluffmaster (2005). The story is about a chef who is mistaken to be a martial arts expert leading to a comedy of errors that follows suit.

Two hot numbers from the 70s era of Bollywood are being resurrected for this  action comedy. The film, which is still in production and is expected to be released by year-end, will have the songs ‘Bambai Se Aaya Mera Dost’ and ‘Piya Tu Ab To Aaja’ included in the final released version. Both songs, from the films Aap Ki Khatir and Caravan respectively, will be item numbers. Two hot Bollywood babes are being sought for the dance numbers and our sources reveal that the two could be Bipasha Basu and Katrina Kaif.

The star attraction at the box office will be Yash Raj Films, Tashan. Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya,  Tashan is set for a release this April. The music has just released and is soon set to rock the music charts.

Yash Raj movies recently are just a mediocre offering in a lavish wrapping. and Tashan is no exception. Here is a brief preview of the stylised Tashan.

Ravi Chopra’s attempt to get Casper to Bollywood is finally being materialised. The promos of Bhootnath starring Amitabh Bachchan , Juhi Chawla, Shahrukh Khan (in special appearance) and kid actor Aman Siddiqui are being currently aired . Bhoothnath is directed by debutant director Vivek Sharma who has also written the script for the film.

The story of Bhootnath is about the relationship between a deceased grandfather (played by Amitabh Bachchan) and his grandson(Aman Siddiqui). The grandfather returns to his grandson as a ghost named Bhoothnath. Juhi Chawla plays the boy’s widowed mother and Shahrukh Khan is her husband.

Love him or hate him but you cann’t ignore the man. Himesh Reshammiya whose nasal twang has become familiar in every household of India, is all set to torment the Indian public with another of his films. The producer turned music composer turned singer turned actor is geared upto play the role of Monty that Rishi Kapoor immortalised in Subash Ghai’s Karz. This modern version of Karzzz will be directed by Satish Kaushik. Initally Subash Ghai was offered to direct the movie, but he refused to do so.

Rakesh Omprakash Mehra who hit gold with his Aamir Khan starrer film, Rang De Basanti is all set to release his next  movie . A movie which is very different from his previous two films, Aks and RDB.

The movie that is titled Dilli 6 will star Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor in the lead role.

Rakesh Roshan’s next film will neither be directed by him nor will it star his superstar son Hrithik Roshan. The next film coming out from the FilmKraft stable will be a mad cap comedy titled Krazzy 4 and it will be directed by debutante director, Jaideep Sen.

Krazzy 4 stars Dia Mirza, Juhi Chawla, Arshad Warsi, Rajpal Yadav, Irfan Khan and Suresh Menon in the lead. The music for Krazzy 4  is given by Rajesh Roshan.
