Karan Johar takes the directors seat after a long hiatus. His last film as a director was Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, which was more of a serious film about extramarital relationships. His upcoming film Student Of The Year is a light romantic film and looks every bit the Karan Johar film filled with naach gaana and opulence. The movie however does not have Karan’s lucky charm and friend Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role but three newcomers – Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra. Shah Rukh Khan has however co-produced the movie and would make a special appearance in it along with Kajol Devgan.
