After Aishwarya Rai’ and Abhishek Bachchan’s wedding, the next big Bollywood wedding on the cards seems to be the Kareena and Saif Ali Khan wedding. However the postponement of the wedding has been conspicuous, and one wonders whether the two would eventually end up tying the knot. Sharmila Tagore, Saif’s mother had announced that the two would tie the knot in October. But that seems to have got postponed as Kareena declines it right away.
But apparently Kareena Kapoor believes that the wedding will hit her career adversely. specially after Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s biting remark that “no married heroine” can be his Juliet,. So Kareena and Saif decided, it was better to focus on her career right now. In fact, sources close to the couple say they were concerned that the wedding may alter the quality of projects offered to her. And Saif, being the understanding partner that he is, did not want her to compromise.
Soha Ali Khan, Saif’s sister also did not have much clue about when the wedding would take place. When asked about her brother’s wedding date, this is what Soha had to say: “I am quite confused myself. I know it is happening with the people in question, but they haven’t set the date or talked about it,” said Soha.

When asked about her wedding at the trailer launch of Heroine, Kareena said “Let’s wait for Saif to make the official announcement”. As of now, Kareena says, she is only concentrating on her career and is looking forward to the release of Heroine. That seems rather odd, as Kareena definitely is looking to give her career more importance than her wedding.
Saif told news tabloid Mumbai Mirror - “The wedding is in Maldives…100 people…December not October!” In an interview to HT he had said: “I haven’t fixed a date for my wedding! I’m yet to meet Kareena’s parents to sort out the date … the venue is also not finalised,” says the actor, maintaining the obvious: It’s going to be a year-end wedding.”
So now lets wait and watch, only time will tell when the two decide to tie the knot.
