Video : Dhan Te Nan Original Song In Gubbare Serial

Filed under: Bollywood Videos and Pictures - 06 Sep 2009

The famous Dhan Te Nan song by Vishal Bharadwaj is infact not so recent. It is a decade old to be precise. But do not doubt Vishal Bharadwaj, he is no Pritam, the old song too was composed by Vishal Bharadwaj in a tele-film by the name Dhan Te Nan. The tele-film had Sharman Joshi in the lead role.

Speaking about the same Vishal says, “Dhan te nan was not designed specially for Kaminey. I had first used it in a telefilm called Dhan Te Nan. I had used that catchphrase and the tune in that telefilm.

Vishal admits that the time is for catch-phrases ka zamana hai.

“We’ve to admit people want catch phrases. But Dhan te nan isn’t the first. What about so many R.D. Burman tracks in the 1970s? What about Apalam chapalam fifty years ago?

Check out the video of the original Dhan Te Nan song minus the beats of the new one.

Video : Amitabh Bachchan’s Talisman Theatrical Trailer

The trailer made an appearance first during the screening of Vidhu Chopra’s Eklavya. The buzz generated around the movie was huge. But its been three years now and still no news.

Apart from Bachchan, the major portion of the trailer is digitally developed and enhanced with special effects. The film is intentionally given a blue colour theme throughout. Interestingly the text font of ‘Talisman’ used in the trailer is directly derived from the font of ‘Harry Potter’ series from Hollywood. While the movie is said to be inspired from Chandrakanta, the great Indian epic tale. From the trailers we see a clear resemblance to the Hollywood film, Lord Of The Rings.

But the wait is finally over or atleast we hope it is. Watch the first look promo of Talisman. Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s biggest film to date.
