Why Gulzar And Sukhwinder Did Not Go Oscar Awards

Gulzar who was nominated aalong with A.R. Rehman for the song Jai Ho, in Slumdog Millionare, and Sukhwinder Singh who had rendered the Jai Ho song, made their absence conspicuous by not attending the Oscar Award ceremony. The duo did not intend to boycott the Oscar awards, if that is what you are thinking. The two of them were infact very mch excited to be a part of this very proud moment. Sukhwinder was also going to perform the song Jai Ho on stage.

However both were unable to attend the event due to some paperwork irregularities. Sukhwinder, who was all exited to be performing at the Oscars, had even submitted all his official documents to secure a official work permit letter from the Oscar authorities but in the end he was left waiting as he didn’t receive any intimation from the concerned authorities.

Gulzar too seems to have missed the event on account of not receiving any official invitation.

Lack of paper work and other official documents preparation seems to be a very sad reason for not being a part of the great  Oscar ceremony.
