Drona Movie Sequel Announced Before Its Release

After sequels of Munna Bhai MBBS and Koi Mil Gaya striking gold at the box office. Its time for sequels to be the rage.  And now without the,critics’ ratings or audiences’ response, a sequel to Abhishek Bachchan’s yet to be released flick, ‘Drona’ is already in the pipeline. Though the film’s fate remains undecided, the producer and the lead actors are already on board laying down plans for a follow up to this fantasy adventure.

With the first installment seeing Abhishek in the lead, it’s only obvious that the sequel too will have Jr Bachchan playing the chief protagonist.

Confirming this, producer Goldie Behl told a news daily, “There will be a sequel. And Abhishek will be starring in this one as well.”

Whether or not, Priyanka will be retained remains to be seen.

So what made Abhishek say yes to the sequel?

Well apart from the theme, the actor had a blast shooting for the film and had no apprehensions about doing a sequel. “Shooting for Drona was like a one-stop-shop. Everything that we’d ever dreamed of doing is in it. From horse-riding to scuba-diving. As an actor I got to do it all. In fact, I felt like a kid in a candy store. The possibilities were endless”, said Abhishek.

It seems a really daring thing for Abhishek to be doing. Here actors have problems giving in to dates for one movie and Abhishek has given dates for the sequel of Drona too despite seeing its results at the box office. So does it mean Goldie has struck gold with Drona ? Or is it a case of Abhishek Bachchan being jobless ?
