Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s magnum opus Talisman which seems to be loosely inspired from The Lord Of The Rings has finally started rolling. Talisman was earlier titled Chandrakanta, which incidentally was a long running epic seies by Cine Vista. The movie is being directed by Ram Madhvani, and is supposed to be a fantastical film. Ram Madhvani had earlier made a small critically acclaimed  film called Let’s Talk in 2002 that starred Boman Irani.

Talisman has Amitabh Bachchan playing the lead in the film and he looks similar to Ian McKellen’s in the white costume and makeup. So let’s see if the movie stand up to the gripping Lord Of The Rings. Atleast the trailers give a feel that the moive is indeed  of real superior quality.

Mallika Sherawat is back with the team that gave the hit comedy yaar Ke Side Effects. But instead of Rahul Bose, talented actor Ranvir Shourie is cast opposite Mallika Sherawat. Directed by debutante Sachin Khot, the movie promises to be one mad cap comedy, and with Ranvir in the thick of things you can surely expect to have a hard time laughing.

While Anu Malik, who surely seems out of form with Love Story 2050, tries his luck to be back with Ugly Aur Pagli and he atleast manages abit with the Talli track. Sung by Hard Kaur, Talli is surely to be a hit with the club and disc audience.

Singh Is King which is all set for a grand release, is a movie which talks about positive attitude and courage. Akshay Kumar and actress Neha Dhupia surely seemed to  have got some of that positive attitude rubbbed onto them when they decided that instead of using the elevators they would take the stairs.

While shooting for SINGH IS KING on the Gold Coast in Australia, superstar Akshay Kumar would climb 78 floors up and 78 down regularly in the building where the team was put up despite the rigorous shooting schedule.

Shriya Saran, who has already created quite some buzz with blockbusters in the South industry, is all set to attack Bollywood.
