After a successful film in Jab We Met, when Imtiaz Ali ditched Kareena and took Deepika Padukone for his next film post Jab We Met, it surely had Kareena getting angry. But Imtiaz was adamant that Kareena wouldn’t suit the role and it would be Deepika only who would play the part oposite Saif Ali Khan in his next film.

Months later,  Imtiaz has announced his next film and yes, it will have Kareena in it. Thus breaking rumors of any squabbles going between the two.  Akshay Kumar will also star in Imtiaz Ali’s film with Kareena Kapoor. Imtiaz Ali and Kareena Kapoor have a three film contract with Shree Ashtivinayak Cinevision and this Akshay starrer is likely to be one of them.

Akshay Kumar, Vipul Shah and Katrina Kaif are back after their last blockbuster hit Namastey London to storm the box office again with Singh Is King. But Singh Is King will not be directed by Vipul Shah, he shall only be producing it. Taking charge of the director’s seat will be Aness Bazmee. The music of Singh Is King is given by Himesh Reshammiya.

The starcast of Singh Is King includes Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Neha Dhupia, Javed Jaffrey, Ranvir Shorey, Kamal Chopra, Om Puri, Sudhanshu Pandey, Sonu Sood, Kirron Kher, Yashpal Sharma, Manoj Pahwa.

Here’s a story about how Singh Is King got it’s rather catchy title. “When I was driving back from Jaipur there was a Sardarji’s truck in front of our car. At the back of the truck were the words, Singh is King. I absolutely loved the phrase and it went well with the theme of our film. I rang Vipul immediately and told him that I’d found him a brilliant title!”, says Akshay Kumar.

Akshay adds, “Despite the title, the film is not about any specific community. Through the Sikh character I play in the film (Happy Singh) we’re trying to convey that anyone with a positive attitude in life can be a king. It’s all about attitude, spirit and self-esteem!”

Akshay Kumar and Vipul Shah’s action comedy Singh Is King is ready for a release soon. The movie has Akshay Kumar playing the role of a Sardar. Singh Is King also stars Katrina Kaif opposite Akshay Kumar. Hot actress Neha Dhupia will be doing a sizzling number in the film.
