When Anita Rajan (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan), CEO of Sheppard power plant, an international Company, brings a power plant proposal to set up in rural Maharashtra, before the Nagre’s and insightful Shankar (Abhishek Bachchan) is quick to realize the benefits the power plant cant bring to the people. After convincing Sarkar (Amitabh Bachchan) who is against it for various reasons, Shankar undertakes a journey along with Anita to the villages of Maharashtra to mobilize support of the masses.

However, things are not what they seem to be, from shady fixers with an eye on multi-million kick-backs or wannnabe Shankars that are ready to incite millions of people against the highly controversial project in a state that is witnessing the worst of coalition politics.

The Sachin Tendulkar led Mumbai Indians have roped in Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan as their brand ambassador to drum up support for the team in the Indian Premier League starting on April 18.”Hrithik symbolises the spirit of the team,” said R Balachandran, director of the newly formed Indiawin Sports — a subsidiary of Reliance Industries which owns the franchise outfit, at a media conference to outline the team’s marketing campaign.

Another Director of IndiaWin Sports, Kaushik Roy said that Hrithik Roshan was chosen as the Team Ambassador by Nita Ambani, wife of Mukesh Ambani, because he represents youth, energy and tenacity, and is driven by aspirations.

The actor is figuring in a promotional video campaign to muster support for the team through a Hindi song “Duniya Hila Denge Hum (Let’s rock the world)”.

So if Kolkatta have got Shah Rukh Khan rooting for them, Mumbai has Hrithik Roshan grooving for them. That’s what we call great marketing. Surely IPL is all set to take the nation by storm.

In a rather stunning developmeent, Yash Raj Films  have signed seductive actress Sheryln Chopra for one of their future flicks. This certainly is a big break for Sherlyn(Mona) Chopra who until now has been seen in B grade movies trying to woo audiences with her sensuality rather than her acting.

After having a disastrous 2007 box office wise, head of Yash Raj Aditya Chopra has approached and acquired the services of skin-show Queen Sheryln to star opposite Shahid Kapur in a love triangle storyline that also has Rani Mukherji. A Yash Raj spokesperson confirms, “Yes, Sheryln has been signed by Yash Raj to star in a film by Anurag Singh.”

Yash Raj Films are hoping the film will appeal to the mature audience and will include lots of steamy sex scenes. The source adds, “Though Adi met Sheryln, it was Yash Chopra’s suggestion. Sheryln has been in the good books of Yash Chopra, who also launched her album Outrageous. Yash Raj has been wanting to get in touch with her for some time but Sheryln had her number changed so they finally got it from Vinod Pandey (who directed her in Red Swastika).”

Sheryln as expected is happy about this but modestly says, “For me, this is just the beginning. Yes, I am a part of Anurag’s film but I still need to work much harder to get to the place where I really want to be right at the top. I have it in me to be a kick-ass Bollywood babe and I will do it. I just want to do this role to the best of my abilities and want them to start wondering how I can act with so much of finesse and ease. The director, Anurag Singh has told that he will be pitching me against them and that I have to be on par with their performances.”

Since the time Farah Khan had her triplets, there have number of speculations and rumors about the names that Farah and Shirish would choose for them.Finally, putting an end to all the guesses and estimates, Farah informs, “I have named my girls Diva and Anya.”

And what about her son? She enthusiastically says, “Well, we have not zeroed on that yet. It changes every week and this week it’s Czar.”

Says Farah, “We have named our son Czar (the rulers of Russia were called that) as I think my baby looks like a chubby emperor. It was Shah Rukh’s and my idea to name one of the girls Diva. The names Anya and Czar have been kept by Shirish. Czar behaves like a king who needs his space.”

Yash Raj Film’s Tashan directed by Vijay Acharya is all set to hit screens on 25th April. The music of Tashan by Vishal Shekar has managed to get its grip on the youth of the nation. And with Saif and Kareena being the current talk of town, the heat around Tashan couldn’t have been lesser.

Ram Gopal Verma’s sequel to the popular Sarkar is ready for release. The cast of Sarkar Raj includes Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Thus Sarkar Raj is an important film for the Bachchan’s too.

The movie promos are out and by the looks of it, this one promises to carry forth from where it ended in Sarkar. Aishwarya Rai who wasn’t part of the first part, Sarkar, will be essaying an important role in this one.
