Abbas Mustaan’s Race starring Saif Ali Khan, Anil Kapoor, Akshaye Khanna, Katrina Kaif, Sameera Reddy and Bipasha Basu in the lead is perhaps one of the biggest films coming from the director duo’s stable.

Touted to be an edge of the  seat thriller, Race is likely to take the box office by storm when it releases. Pritam, fresh with the success of Life In A Metro and Jab We Met , has another winner on his hand with Race.

The title track of Race is an adrenaline packed song with the electronic guitar in the background supplementing the song perfectly. The inital beats have a James Bond like similarity to them and get the pace right for the rest of the song. Sunidhi Chauhan gets the club feel into the song with her spunky voice and Neeraj compliments her well.

 After a collossal disappointment in the form of Naqaab, Bollywood’s thriller brothers Abbas  Mustaan are back with their latest mega budget film, Race. Hope they deliver the same promise they showed with their earlier films like Khiladi and Baazigar. Here’s a brief storyline of Abbas Mustan’s Race for our readers.

Race Movie Story  

Ranvir (Saif Ali Khan) and Rajiv (Akshaye Khanna) are half brothers who own a huge stud farm in Durban, South Africa. They breed horses on their huge ranch house and are also the biggest bookies in the horse racing circuit.

Ranvir the elder of the two is known to be a very shrewd man. He is very aggressive, and is always on the move. His half brother Rajiv on the other hand is very laid back, and is also a chronic alcoholic.

Sophia (Katrina Kaif) is Ranvir’s personal secretary. She adores her boss and loves him. Ranvir is totally unaware of her feeling and regards her adoration as her efficiency.

Subash Ghai’s much delayed movie Black and White is ready for release finally.Starring Anil Kapoor,new comer Anurag Sinha and Shefali Shah in the lead, Black and White seems to be different from the usual  Subash Ghai larger than life films. Black and White is a socio political film with terrorism as the backdrop. Here’s the preview of the film for our readers.

Rajan Mathur (Anil Kapoor) is a Professor in Urdu literature in Dr. Zakir Hussain’s College. He resides in Chandni Chowk with his activist wife, Roma Mathur (Shefali Shah).

Professor Mathur comes across a young boy called Numair Qazi (Anurag Sinha) who introduces himself as a victim of communal riots in Gujarat. But in actual fact, he is a suicide bomber commissioned by a Muslim fundamentalist group to detonate a bomb near Red Fort on 15th August. During his fifteen day roller coaster journey, Numair manages to take shelter in the Professor’s house and wins the trust and fondness of the couple. While helping Numair to get an employment entry pass for 15th August celebrations at Red Fort, Professor Mathur introduces him to the warm and loving people of Chandni Chowk who coexist with fun, music, love and colorful events and festivals irrespective of their religion.

Ashustosh Gowariker’s much delayed Jodha Akbar which is set to hit the screens on February 15th is surely one of this year’s most eagerly awaited films. Starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai in the lead, this mythological epic movie will be Ashutosh’s next film after the critically appreciated Swades. Only time will tell whether, Ashutosh still has the magic in him, that one observed in Lagaan and Swades.

After making three consecutive superhits(Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, Koi Mil Gaya,Krrish)with son Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan will be seen taking a break from direction. The movie will be directed by Jaideep Sen, who was earlier assistant director to Rakesh Roshan for Koi Mul Gaya and Krrish.Krazzy 4 will be produced under FilmKraft banner and it’s music will be given by Rajesh Roshan.

Krazy 4 is set to be an all out mad mad comedy about 4 crazy guys. Krazzy 4 has an ensemble star cast of Irfan Khan, Rajpal Yadav Arshad Warsi and Suresh Menon.

The real life couple of Ajay Devgan and Kajol are also set to bring in romance in the air once again. Though their last offering, Raju Chacha disappointed immensely, one can never forget their chemistry in films like Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha and Ishq.

U Me And Hum will also be Kajol’s next film after the successful Fanaa. Let’s see if Ajay Devgan’s directorial debut manages to match upto the standards set by Aamir Khan’s Taare Zameen Par.

Check out the theatrical trailer of U Me Aur Hum . Stylishly shot and a great cinematography to boast of.  Adnan Sami sets the tone right with his soulful song Jee Le. The movie looks to be set on a ship ala Titanic. Hope U Me Aur Hum doesn’t sink like Mann(to shot on a ship).

Last year was filled with highs and lows for Kareena Kapoor. On the personal front, she broke up her long standing relationship with Shahid Kapoor and found an able partner in Saif Ali Khan for  support. Her romantic relationship with Shahid might have suffered a jolt last year, but their onscreeen chemistry in Imtiaz Ali’s Jab We Met had the crowds going gaga. Not only was Jab We Met a huge commercial success, Kareena also won the actress award for her immensely likeable character in the film.

Last year must have been abysmal for Yash Raj Films, as per their standards.Other than the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Chak De India, none of their much hyped films, managed to create ripples at the box office.

But putting the past behind, Yash Raj Films, is back this year with their latest offering Tashan. The much hyped Tashan has a scintillating cast of Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor. Now with such a cast and with a banner like Yash Raj Films behind it, Tashan surely is one of this year’s most awaited films.

Tashan is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya who wrote the screenplay and dialogues for hits like Dhoom and Dhoom 2. Tashan will be produced by Aditya Chopra and Yash Chopra under Yash Raj Films and is scheduled for a release on April 25, 2008 .

Pre-production of the film began in late 2006 with Akshay Kumar being signed first, and Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor next. In early 2007, Anil Kapoor was signed on to play a negative role in the film. This film marks the return of Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor to the Yash Raj banner after the former’s Yeh Dillagi (1994) and Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), and the latter’s Mujhse Dosti Karoge! (2002). Anil Kapoor also makes a comeback to the Yash Raj banner after 16 years. His last film with the banner was Lamhe (1992). Surely this one’s a deadly combo, all set to take on the Box Office with a bang.
