Yup. I have done many photo-ops, but never one which was so revealing. But it was terrific.

Jodha Akbar has been in news for quite some time. The movie, starring Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan and directed by Ashutosh Gowariker is one of the most anticipated films releasing this year.

The music by A.R. Rehman though sync with the Mughal era has wooed audiences from the X generation also. Kashif written ‘Khwaja Mere Khwaja‘ is a devotional track, which is strictly for Rahman fans. Rendered by Rahman himself, the song though not a chart buster, surely gets one in to the Mughal era mode.

Saif and Kareena Kapoor’s romantic relationship was a shocker for most fans, when it was revealed that Kareena had broken her six year long love tale with Shahid Kapoor, the news seemed impossible. But today, Saif and Kareena have become Bollywood’s favorite love birds.

Now here’s another rumor that’s doing rounds in the Bollywod circuit.According to reports on a popular news daily, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoorhave secretly tied the knot.

The two were reported to have married in a hush-hush ceremony to escape the unwanted media glare. If rumours are to be believed, Saif even gifted a BMW to Kareena as a wedding present.

After delivering a commercial success in the form of Bheja Fry last year, director Rajat Kapoor comes up with another witty film, Mithya. Starring Ranvir Shorey, Brijendra Kala, Neha Dhupia, Naseeruddin Shah in the lead, Mithya hits the screens this week.

Sometimes just talking about a film spoils the fun of watching it. It’s true what they say about some films — the less you know about it before you go watch it, the better. Rajat Kapoor’s Mithya is exactly that kind of film, so you can understand my dilemma even as I attempt to review the film here.

Much like Superstar, the other film at the cinemas this week, Mithya too revolves around the life of a struggling Bollywood actor.

Ranvir Shorey plays VK, the struggler in question, whose life turns upside down when he gets inadvertently involved with the underworld owing to the striking resemblance he bears to a person they have not-so-noble interests in.

Alas, that’s as little as one can reveal about the film’s plot without giving out spoilers galore. Mithya is one of those rare films that constantly surprises you, it’s one of those films that never stops unravelling, a film that never reveals all its cards at once.

If that’s what you’re looking for on an evening out at the movies — unpredictability, surprise, the unfamiliar — then Mithya is your best bet. In fact, it’s got more surprises than both Johnny Gaddar and Manorama Six Feet Under.

Starting off as a comedy, Mithya straddles several genres as it makes it way from start to finish — thriller, romance, suspense — but eventually it settles comfortably into its identity as a black comedy.

Subash Ghai is back holding the reigns of his next film, Black and White. Set out to be a socio political trailer with throws light on terrorism in India, Black and White will be a departure from the normal Subash Ghai, larger than life movies. Black and White which has been in the making for quite a while now has Anil Kapoor in the lead.

Main Chala is the latest track from the movie which has hit the various TV channels and here is an exclusive glimpse of it. The music of the film is given by Sukhwinder Singh.

Jab We Met, might have marked the end of Shahid and Kareena’s real life love story. But for all those of you who thought that their reel life love story had ended, then you’ll are in for a pleasant surprise. Shahid Kapur and Kareena Kapoor are all set to continue in the romantic gear with their next film, Milenge Milenge, with Satish Kaushik as the director.

After the lead pair(Shahid and Kareena) broke up, sources indicated that they wouldn’t come together to dub for the film. However, the director, Satish Kaushik questioned “…why should Shahid and Kareena have any problems dubbing it?” Producer Boney Kapoor further indicated that “…perhaps it was destined that the most romantic film featuring Shahid and Kareena would come after their relationship.” I guess that will be confirmed only once the movie is released. So let’s keep our fingers crossed.

After mesmerizing the audience with his stunts in Dhoom 2, Hrithik Roshan is back. The versatile actor will play the role of Mughal Emperor, Akbar in Ashutosh Gowariker’s forthcoming film, Jodha Akbar.

Playing the role of the Rajput princess, Jodha, is the ethereal beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. After two consecutive musical hits in the form of Lagaan and Swades, Ashutosh combines once again with A.R. Rehman  for the soundtrack of Jodha Akbar. And A.R. Rehman as usual is simply outstanding. Keeping in sync with the Mughal times, Rehman , delivers nice romantic ballads which are the soul of the album.

Pakistani sensation Atif Aslam is becoming quite a regular feature in Bollywood. After hits like Woh Lamhe ( Zeher) and Tere Bin (Bas Ek Pal), Atif is back with another chart buster to his name. The song Pehli Nazar, a soulful soft song set in a rock mode from Race is a sure shot winner. Perhaps the best out of the lot from the album, Pehli Nazar gets on to you the very first time when you lend your ears to it.
