Jagmohan Mundra who shifted gears from soft porn flicks to socially relevant films, is back once again with another film on current issues. Jagmohan Mundra who earlier this year directed the critically appreciated Provoked will soon be back with a movie that deals with terrorism. The movie titled : Shoot On Sight has been inspired by the suicide bombings in London of July 7, 2005, in which four British Muslims killed themselves and 52 other innocent people in London.
Movie Preview : Shoot On Sight Shoot On Sight unfolds the turmoil in the life of Tariq Ali (Naseeruddin Shah), a Muslim police officer at Scotland Yard. Commander Ali, born in Lahore, and married to an English woman, is tasked to investigate the police shooting of a suspected Muslim terrorist in the London Underground.
Distrusted by both his superiors and his fellow Muslims, he finds his inquiry hampered from all sides. When evidence surfaces pointing to the slain man’s innocence, as well as the existence of a terrorist cell operating in his own backyard, Tariq must face the realisation that sometimes, the right decision is the hardest one to make. The movie has mostly been shot in London.The movie stars OmPuri, Naseeruddin Shah, Nafisa Ali, Gulshan Grover and Laila Rouass and is set to realease at the end of this year
