Chak De India Is Oscar Favorite

After Eklavya, being withdrawn as India’s Oscar representative due to selection controversy, Chak De India is now considered a favorite to make it to the Oscars. ‘Dharm, Eklavya and Chak De India are the finalists and now all bets are on Chak De India given that its been backed by Yash Raj Films and is a SRK film.

In a recent statement, Karan Johar said:”I think ‘Chak De’ is one of the best movies that I have seen in the recent times and I would recommend it for any platform, be it the Oscars etc.”

Commenting on the selection process and the controversy surrounding it, Shahrukh Khan said:”I think controversies are a great thing, thats what always happens in a selection process.”

SRK was candid enough to admit that his Paheli that was selected last year was the wrong choice.”Even when Paheli got selected, I knew deep down inside that it was the wrong film.”
