Saif Ali Khan who is now getting into as many relationships as films was seen at Delhi, promoting the Abbas Mustaan thriller, RACE. Race also  features Akshaye Khanna, Katrina Kaif and Bipasha Basu in important roles.
CNN IBN journalist caught up with Saif Ali Khan and quizzed him about his future films, his role in the Abbas Mustaan thriller RACE and also about his much talked about relationship with Kareena Kapoor.

Iram Mirza: How was it walking the ramp?

Saif Ali Khan: It’s great. Good fun actually. There was nice music. It’s just walking and I’ve been doing that all my life.

Iram Mirza: You’re also here to promote your film called Race. So what is Saif Ali Khan racing after these days?

Saif Ali Khan: Well good work and pursuit of happiness.

 Iram Mirza: When you talk of Race, what is it about?

Saif Ali Khan: It’s an official launch of the Abbas-Mastan thriller.

Iram Mirza: If it’s an Abbas-Mastan thriller, you get do a lot of macho things – drive snazzy cars…

Madhuri Dixit is all set to enthrall her audiences with her film, Aaja Nache which releases towards the end of this year. With story written by Jaideep Sahni of Chak De India fame, the movie promises to be quite an entertainer. With a talented supporting cast of Konkona Sen Sharma, Vinay Pathak, Ranveer Shourie and Kunal Kapoor. Aaja Nachle should be a movie too watch out for.

The story of Aaja Nachle revolves around Madhuri’s character who returns to her hometown from the US and finds it stuck in a cultural molasses . She tries to bring art and dance in spite of  facing opposition from various quarters. Will Madhuri be able to spread joy and fun. through her dance and music. among the people of her town, forms the crux of Aaja Nachle.

Directed by Imtiaz Ali, Jab We Met has turned out to get a quite a good response at the box office. Especially Kareena Kapoor has won all hearts with her gorgeous looks in the movie.

Shahid plays a failed business man and a failed lover. While Kareena Kapoor is the typical bubbly Punjabi gir, full of life and vigor. The two accidentally miss their train and have to now Shahid has to drop Kareena all the way to Bhatinda. Jab We Met is a story of their romantic relationship from Mumbai to Bhatinda.

The former Miss India who jumped into the world of Bollywood hasn’t found much success with her films in tinsel town. Life hasn’t been so easy for Tanushree as far as her career goes. Apart from her debut film, Aashiq Banaya Aapn, no other film of the sultry beauty has managed to make it big at the box office. Her this year’s two releases Dhol and Raqeeb have been washouts at the box office. Tanushree has seriously got to do something about getting out of the sex girl image and give acting a serious shot.

Here is an exclusive interview with Tanushree Dutta, in which she reveals about her future plans, about her love life too and whether she has any marriage plans.

Rumours suggest that you are back with your old lover Aditya Dutta. Tell us the truth?
I am really tired of hearing this trash. There is no substance in all these false allegations. I just have friendly relations with him and that’s it. Next question please…

But isn’t your reunion with Aditya gives enough fodder to this rumour?
There is no bar on speculations. If someone misunderstands our friendship for love affair, I just can’t do anything about it. So the best thing is to keep mum.

So what’s your take on love now?
I don’t have time for love at this moment. I am single and definitely not ready to mingle with anyone. Falling in love again and again is not my cup of tea. I want to concentrate on my work assignments at this point of time.

Siddarth, one of the most popular South heroes, who recently won several accolades for his role in Rang De Basanti is all set to play the role of a carrom player in his upcoming sport film Striker. South actress Padmapriya has been paired with Siddharth in Striker by director Chandan Arora.

Set in the 1980s, the film will move through a labyrinth of socio-cultural political issues as seen through the eyes of the slum-protagonist. Entitled “Striker”, the film’s main protagonist Siddharth’s character will be based on the life and times of a real-life carrom whiz from the slums of Malavni named Suryakant.

Siddharth, who has said a firm no to several good offers from Mumbai including Rakeysh Mehra’s “Delhi 6″ and David Dhawan’s film for UTV, has quietly been preparing for the new challenge.

A carrom player from the outset, Siddharth has been polishing up his skills.

“Siddharth has become an expert at carom. By the time we hit the floors in December Siddharth will be able to beat anyone at the game. He has met the real-life Suryakant several times. He has also spent sizeable time in Malavni getting the feel of the place. Though he functions from the south he has spent a large part of his life in Delhi and Mumbai. So he speaks very fluent Hindi,” Arora told IANS.

The Imtiaz Ali directed film Jab We Met has been getting quite a few good reviews from critics and the movie might well do well for Kareena and Shahid.

Shahid Kapur and Kareena Kapoor have both been lauded for their very natural performances. Especially Kareena Kapoor who looks super beautiful and delivers one of her best performances till date, has received numerous cheers from the audience.

Ironically as their onscreen romance is getting the Thumbs Up from the audience, their offscreen romance has ended. Kareena and Shahid Kapoor have broken up their relationship. Kareena has reportedly been seeing Saif Ali Khan now. When asked about his relationship with Kareena, Saif categorically said to the press, “There is lots of speculation from a long time. Yes we are together and very much happy with each other.”

Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om certaily has the Diwali blockbuster feel to it. Yet another for Shah Rukh Khan after a long line of DDLJ ,KKHH, K3G and KANKs . The film starring Shah Rukh Khan (Om) is a story of junior artist of the 70s who falls in love with Deepika Padukone a superstar of the time. But Om is killed and reborns asa superstar. Clearly as the catchline says ” For some dreams one lifetime is not enough” appears to be soul of the story. Typical Indian masala one may say, but I say thats where the beauty of bollywood lies. An old fashion love story masala fo the core bollywood fans– definitely a first day first show contender.

One of the most awaited film’s in the time to come is Ashutosh Gowariker’s Jodha Akbar. After the Oscar nominated Lagaan and the critically acclaimed Swades, Ashutosh Gowariker is going real big with his 40 crore venture Jodha Akbar. The film is complete but there have been problems with distributors not wanting to buy the film, which Ronnie Screwala of UTV wants to sell off at 80 crores. Hopefully a deal will happen and the movie will be released in January 2008.

Jodha Akbar has Hrithik Roshan play the Mughal Emperor Akbar and Aishwarya Rai playing hs wife, Jodha ( a Rajput princess ). The movie is the love story of Akbar and Jodha with the back drop of a war.
