Supreme Court Grants Bail To Sanjay Dutt
The well wishes of his family and friends have surely helped Sanjay Dutt. The Supreme Court today granted an interim bail to Sanjay Dutt regarding the 1993 blasts.
The lawyers had petitioned the court against Sanjay’s conviction and sought bail until that petition was ruled on. But they said they could not argue the case as they were yet to get a copy of the judgment of the Mumbai court.
Supreme Court has made clear that all the accused who have been under bail before, under both TADA and Arms Act, will be given bail because they haven’t been given copies of their judgement. The court says once the copies of the judgement are given out, the accused will have to surrender before the police.
While on bail Sanjay Dutt has to appear once a week before a police station and cannot leave the country without the TADA court’s permission.
Dutt’s passport will remain with the TADA court. A bench headed by Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan granted Dutt relief considering the fact that he was on bail from October 16, 1995 to July 31, 2007.
Priya Dutt : “I Got My Rakhi Gift”
Priya Dutt couldn’t have been happier on hearing the news of her brother, Sanjay Dutt’s release. After their father’s death, Priya has been the one who despite being younger has looked after Sanjay, as a mother.
“I am relieved and happy and it’s only because of the help and support of the people around us. This is my Raksha Bandhan gift,” said a relieved Priya Dutt.
With so many blessings and good wishes, Sanjay Dutt will surely receive justice. And we at movietonic.com wish him good luck!
