After the abysmal Pyaare Mohan which was handicapped as its main characters, the king of comedy Indra Kumar is back with another mad cap comedy, Dhamaal. Starring a bunch of talented comic heroes, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh and Sanjay Dutt. Indra Kumar has promised that Dhamaal will bring back the same magic of his old films like Beta, Raja, back. Let’s see how true those words prove to be. Here is a brief preview of Dhamaal.

Roy (Riteish Deshmukh). Who believes that he is the best detective in the world. But bungles up every job he gets and ends up with egg on his face and a kick on his backside.
Manav (Javed Jaffrey). Who actually happens to be the biggest idiot in the world, but is blissfully unaware about it. Blessed with foot in the mouth disease, he inadvertently lets the cat out of the bag with disastrous results; all the time, every time.
Aditya aka Adi (Arshad Warsi). Whose encyclopedic half knowledge about everything only adds to the great expertise of this group. Adi’s musical expertise has people showering him with money and praise till they discover it’s a tape, not him playing all that great music. Then he’s showered with abuses.
The final component of the group is Mr. Scared of everything. Boman (Ashish Choudhary). Terrorized by his father, bulled by his friends, he does his best to avoid getting into trouble but ends up attracting trouble, like a magnet.

Critics may have bashed the movie. But you do not know Bollywood. Some of the most well made movies ( Swades) lose the race at the box office but the same masala entertainers like Heyy Babyy hit gold at the box office. So can you blame film makers when they make such crap films over and over again. If you watch them, they are going to make them.
Hey Babyy had a block buster opening worldwide with a record shattering opening weekend collection of Rs. 41 crore.
HEYY BABYY has also taken the biggest opening in the US this year and the biggest screen average (6039 pounds) in the UK. The film has already debuted at number 10 at the UK box office this week end. It is also touted to be Akshay Kumar’s biggest opening ever and is touted to takeover as the ‘Overseas King’ with consecutive hits overseas. A super success in the 3 major international markets in the US and UK, and in Australia reaching the coveted $ 100000/- mark in the opening week end.

Let’s get one thing straight! To remake a film that not only set box-office records and is referred to as a classic, but also one that by far has the biggest recall value, is playing with aag. Ramgopal Varma, the maverick film-maker, has the courage to remake SHOLAY, a film that continues to be one of the favorite entertainers across the globe.
Comparisons with SHOLAY are obvious and one presumes, RGV knew it all along that’s he’s bound to feel the heat by those who swear by SHOLAY. To give the credit where it’s due, RGV remains faithful to the classic, not once does he deviate from the plot, not once does he twists facts… you know exactly what to expect and where the story is heading.
Jai, Veeru, Thakur, Basanti and above all Gabbar are characters that attained cult status over the years, especially Gabbar. RAMGOPAL VARMA KI AAG does justice to those characters, especially Gabbar, who wore a sinister look on his face all the while. Terror has a new name now. It’s Babban!
Shortcomings? Oh yes! The romantic track, involving Ajay – Nisha Kothari, is a yawn. To be more specific, the by-now-famous ‘suicide’ sequence doesn’t work. Prior to that, Prashant and Sushmita’s meeting with Nisha’s parents to seek her hand in marriage for Ajay also falls flat. Besides, this is not for the faint-hearted who detest violent films. RAMGOPAL VARMA KI AAG is sure to give them hiccups.
To cut a long story short, the comparisons with SHOLAY will tell on RAMGOPAL VARMA KI AAG.
In the dark underbelly of Mumbai city, a nihilistic new leader has risen to rule the fetid underworld. His name is Babban [Amitabh Bachchan]. Cruel beyond imagination, psychotically violent and far more devious than any gangster the city has ever known.
Nobody has ever seen him and if they did, they didn’t survive to tell the tale. But one man believed in his existence. And that is Inspector Narsimha [Mohanlal], who has a single-minded determination to finish Babban.
RAMGOPAL VARMA KI AAG is SHOLAY, yet different. Sure, the story is the same, but the setting and interpretation of the story are different, very contemporary. As a storyteller, the RGV stamp is visible in a couple of sequences. Note Bachchan’s spine-chilling introduction. Nisha’s introductory sequence also makes you break into a chuckle. The Sachin episode that gives birth to a bitter enmity is tremendous. The sequence outside the courtroom [Bachchan - Mohanlal face off] is remarkable. Bachchan avenging his brother’s death by eliminating Mohanlal’s family is terrifying…

Ashutosh Gowariker’s film Jodha Akbar is one hugely anticipated film. The man who delivered two finest fines in the past years, Swades and Lagaan, is back. And this time with a historical movie. Surely Ashutosh is not afraid of exploring unexplored zones. Ashustosh also has a great cast for his film Jodha Akbar. Hrithik Roshan plays the Mughal Emperor, Akbar while Aishwarya Rai plays Akbar’s wife, the Rajput princess, Jodha.
I did not quite enjoy Hrithik’s and Aishwarya’s chemistry in Dhoom 2. Surely expecting Ashutosh Gowariker to create magical romance between the two in Jodha Akbar.
Just recently the look of Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai for Jodha Akbar was revealed by Ashutosh. If you thought Sanjay Leela Bhansali was clever by hiding Ranbir and Sonam Kapoor in Saawariya, then you gotta check this picture out.
Go ahead , check the Jodha Akbar first look
Here is the first look of Farah Khan’s second film, Om Shanti Om. The film stars Farah’s favorite Shahrukh Khan and the gorgeous model turned actress Deepika Padukone, who makes her debut with this film. Here is the first look …
Ramu’s take on Sholay, Ram Gopal Verma Ki Aag Releases today. After Sarkar, Ramu has quite not been able to hit the bull’s eye at the box office. So will his remake of the cult classic Sholay manage to woo the audience? Read the review of RGV Ki Aag to find out….
Review of Ram Gopal Verma Ki Aag
Ram Gopal Verma Ki Aag is fantabulous, it is one of the finest films to have graced Bollywood. Ram Gopal Verma is surely a magician to have made a film par excellence. Was this what Ramu expected the audience to mouth out after watching this film? Then these words of appreciation may just be available to Ram Gopal’s ears in some of his fanciest dreams. Oops, did I say dreams. Ok, our dear Ramu is not going to have dreams for quite some time. Sleepless nights and nightmares are all that Ram Gopal Verma is privileged to have after making a film like Ram Gopal Verma Ki Aag.
Is Picture Mein Kya Hain ?
Sholay toh dekhi hogi aap logon ne. Ok, then it’s the same plot. Only the characters get some new weird funny names and the screenplay and dialogues are thrown in an Aag, all the humor, romance, thrills, emotions are removed. Yes, that sums up Ramu’s Aag.
Ajay pheeka Devgan, Nisha overacting Kothari , Prashant expressionless Raj are abysmal, to say the least. There is no chemistry between any of the actors. No romance between the lead pair, no bonds of friendship between the two friends. Absolutely nothing. The badly choreographed songs are a patience testing tool for the audience.

Priya Darshan’s film Bhool Bhulaiya, which has a mix of comedy and super natural elements is ready for release. Starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Shiney Ahuja and Amisha Patel, Bhool Bulaiya is one of the most anticipated films in the coming months. Hope Priya Darshan gets back to the comic touch he displayed in Hera Pheri and Hungama. His other releases came no where close to the comic standards he had setup.
Here is a romantic song promo from Priya Darshan’s film, Bhool Bhulaiya. The romantic song titled Labon Ko (picturised on Vidya Balan and Shiney Ahuja) does not quite suit the theme of the film, as the movie is supposed to be shot in a village. The lavish setting of the song seems a bit ridiculous. Anyways check out this song trailer of Bhool Bhulaiya and let us know how you found it.
