Shankar Ropes In Shah Rukh Khan For Sci Fi Film Robot

Shankar has been a force down South. But though I loved the films he made in Bollywood, he has still not received the kind of success one expected in the world of Bollywood. Shankar’s film’s in Bollywood namely, Gentleman, Jeans, Hindustani, Nayak and Aparichit though strikingly different from normal Bollywood movies, didn’t do good business at the box office.

But now after the mammoth success of Sivaji, Shankar has been beaming with confidence. And he has decided to take on Bollywood yet again with a renewed confidence. And this time Shankar is settling for nothing but the very best. Shankar has reportedly casted the tech savvy Shah Rukh Khan as a lead in his next directorial venture : Robot.

As the name suggests, Robot will be a science fiction movie. Considering the unique stories that Shankar weaves, guess the movie will be more of fiction than science. Supposedly, Shah Rukh Khan was so impressed with the script of Robot that he offered to produce the film under his banner, Red Chillies Entertainment.

Hope the audience tooo gets as impressed with Robot, that will go on floors in another four months. Until then Shah Rukh will be waiting with bated breathe to see how his stint as a hockey coach in Shimit Amin’s Chak De India delivers at the box office. After Chak De Shah Rukh has Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om that will release later this year.
