Awarapan Movie Review
Awarapan is another one of Vishesh Films productions. Generally Vishesh Films makes low budget content oriented films with small stars and manage to deliver hits out of them. But this time round with Awarapan they have decided to go all out with a huge budget of 18 crores. Emraan Hashmi the favorite hero of the Bhatt’s is playing the lead while Sivaji star Shriya plays his love interest. Also Awarapan marks the debut of Mrinalni Sharma.
Kalyug, Zeher and Woh Lamhe …. Mohit Suri has improved as a director with each film. So will he keep his growing potential as a director with Awarapan? Will Vishesh Films be able to deliver another hit? Lets see what the critics have to say about Awarapan.
Rajeev Masand : ” Awarapan is actually quite engaging. What strikes you about the film from the moment the lights go out is the stylishness with which its been shot.”
Movie Rating : 3/5
Taran Adarsh : ” Choosing an interesting story is difficult. But doing justice to the story is nothing short of an achievement. AWARAPAN, directed by Mohit Suri, gets it right on both the levels — on paper first, on celluloid later.”
Movie Rating : 3.5/5
Subash K. Jha : ” The volatile music score (Pritam Chakbraborty) and the skilful interweaving of deftly cut scenes which glow with the flow, make Awarapan a cut-above-the-notch viewing.”
Movie Rating : 2.5/5

Aparajita Ghosh : “ ‘Awarapan’ showcases the acting talent of Emraan Hashmi. The actor steps out of his usual chocolate boy image and plays a very serious and intense role with full conviction.”
Movie Rating : 2.5/5
Times Now : “Awarapan is an efficient, passable film of a gangster beyond redemption who then predictably finds redemption. ”
Movie Rating : 2/5
Ajit N : ” On a radio show this week, a very confident Emraan had proclaimed that if anyone does not enjoy the movie, he shall pay them back the ticket money. Well, I have preserved my ticket and await a refund.”
Movie Rating : 1.5/5
Sanjay Ram : “Awarapan is a free ticket to Hong Kong; on the whole it’s a restrained watch.”
Movie Rating : 2.5/5
Roshnee Desai : ” Watch Awarapan if you want a free tour of Hong Kong.”
Movie Rating : 2/5
