The king of comedy  David Dhawan is back. He has paired in Govinda and Salman Khan for his next film Partner which seems to be inspired from the Will Smith starrer Hitch. The movie has Salman playing love guru to Govinda, so as to help govinda win over Katrina Kaif.  Meanwhile Salman is after Lara Dutta in the film.

The music by Sajid Wajid has the typical David Dhawan flavour. it’s nothing great but looks to be in sync with the film. The hip hop bug seems to have bit music directors and the latest promo of Partner,”Your My love” is proof to it. Check out Salman’s antics in the song and must say Lara Dutta is glowing with each film. Oh ya and how can I forget my dream girl Katrina Kaif. As usual Katrina is a dream…….

If the rumor mills are to be believed then after the Ash-Abhi wedding, another big wedding looks to be knocking on the gates. According to a report on ibnlive.com :

The couple got engaged in a quiet ceremony at Chopra’s Juhu bungalow, attended by close friends and family. No date has been set for the wedding, since Aditya is in the middle of a divorce from his estranged wife Payal Khanna.

The rumour mills say that Aditya’s family is unhappy about Aditya’s decision. Tabloids also say that Yash Chopra has threatened to disinherit Aditya from the Rs 1,000 crore Yash Raj Film empire if he does marry Rani.

It’s believed that Aditya and Rani have been seeing each other for two years, and that Aditya took to Rani after working with her on his home production Saathiya. He subsequenetly cast Rani in many films produced under the Yash Raj banner, including Mujhse Dosti Karoge, Hum Tum, Veer-Zaara, Bunty Aur Babli, Tara Rum Pum and the forthcoming Laaga Chunari Mein Daag.

Blogging has not yet gained massive popularity in India as it has in the U.S. But it seems blogging is fast catching up in India too. Noted Bollywood film actor Aamir Khan has been bitten by the blogging. He has started his own blog. You can check it out here. Aamir’s blog is basically a promotional tool for the Lagaan Dvd where he writes his musings about the film. I hope Aamir does take his blogging as seriously as his acting. Then that would be some really good news for his fans all over.

As Aamir says in his blog : “Am new to this blogging business, so experimenting and trying diff things out.” Way to go Aamir keep experimenting we love it.

But me still a bit sceptical……. is it actually Aamir Khan who is writing the blog? In an intro on the blog it is said ” One of India’s finest and most versatile actors, Aamir Khan is known to pick and choose his roles very meticulously. ” No doubt Aamir is India’s finest actor but would he be so self pompous and state it himself, I doubt it. Anyway if indeed it’s Aamir khan, lets invite him into the blogosphere with open arms. What say?

Biggest Loser Jeetega, is a reality show that has 16 contestants in it. They will compete with each other to lose weight. The one who loses the maximum weight will be the proud winner and has prize money of Rs. 1 lakh per Kg weight he/she reduces. In fact every one of the contestants is a winner as every one will be on the path to healthy living.

This TV series Biggest Loser consist of 18 weeks duration. There are two teams and over all each team has to lose maximum weigh with in a week, the team which loses the most weight will be the winner for that particular week. And the other team, which is a loser, has to eliminate one of their teammate with their own consent.

Rahul Agarwal the producer of Biggest Loser Jeetega told movietonic.com : “Biggest Loser is an inspirational reality show unlike Big Boss and Big Brother, there is no celebrity in this show all the participants are common office going people and are like all of us. When these contestants lose their excess weight, the people around them will get inspiration from them and will try to lose their excess weight.

Just yesterday we had brought to your notice, Abhijeet’s rude comments against Bollywood music director Bappi Lahri. Now responding to Abhijeet’s remarks Bappa Lahri, Bappida’s son,  has decided to take legal action against Abhijeet.

When a TV journalist approached Abhijeet for his comment, he simply took off on Bappi Lahiri. It is learnt that Bappida was taken aback when he saw the interview. “Abhijeet is a frustrated singer and I have been tolerating his nonsense for a long time. Now it’s time to take legal action against him. Bardasht ki bhi ek hadh hoti hai!” says Bappida.

For more than a year singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya had been humiliating music composer and singer Bappi Lahiri. It started off when both were judging for L’il Champs Sa Re Ga Ma Pa on Zee. It was clearly evident from Abhijeet’s body language that he had some issues to settle with Bappida.

As promised yesterday, here is a promo of Anil Kapoor’s home production Gandhi My Father. The movie deals with the caustic relationship between M.K. Gandhi and his son Hari Lal. The movie directed by Feroze Khan has Akshaye Khanna playing the role of Hari Lal. The other actors playing lead parts in the film are Anil Kapoor, Bhumika Chawla and Shefali Shah.

So check out the trailer of Gandhi My Father. In only 30 seconds the film captures the rift between Gandhi and his son, Harilal.

I hate film awards. I detest them. No I am not Aamir Khan. But yes, I do support Aamir’s views and feel awards are biased and nothing but some crap function to conglomerate all Bollywood celebs in their spankiest designer costumes at a popular venue. The fact that further reduces the shine out of these award functions are there are about 8546 award functions or so every year. That might well be a hyperbole statement. But there is quite some probability that this random number i typed on my keyboard could well be true.

The only reason that I do catch these award functions are to catch some good performances and yes to have a glimpse of which Bollywood couples are going out with each other.

The IIFA awards ( recorded) was shown on Star Plus and here are some highlight videos from that function. But mind you the nominations were totally F*** All. Dhoom 2 gets nominated for Best Story. What the hell!!!!!

After giving a sneak preview of the film Gandhi My Father, here are some more pictures from Anil Kapoor’s home production about an enstranged relationship between a father and son. As said earlier this is one movie I am dying to watch. Hope it lives up to my expectations.

Check out this hot scene between Geeta Basra and Emraan Hashmi. Emraan as usual is upto his kissing antics and Geeta Basra assists him. Incidentally Geeta Basra made her debut with Emraan Hashmi in the movie Dil Diya Hai, which left the theatres as sooon as it came.

And sadly for Geeta her second association with Emraan Hashmi though better than Dil Diya Hai is slipping down at the box office. Must say Geeta is hot but if she continues to do such films her status at the box office will surely start slipping and she will fall into the B grade actresses.
