Biggest Loser Jeetega – A New Reality TV Series

Biggest Loser Jeetega, is a reality show that has 16 contestants in it. They will compete with each other to lose weight. The one who loses the maximum weight will be the proud winner and has prize money of Rs. 1 lakh per Kg weight he/she reduces. In fact every one of the contestants is a winner as every one will be on the path to healthy living.

This TV series Biggest Loser consist of 18 weeks duration. There are two teams and over all each team has to lose maximum weigh with in a week, the team which loses the most weight will be the winner for that particular week. And the other team, which is a loser, has to eliminate one of their teammate with their own consent.

Rahul Agarwal the producer of Biggest Loser Jeetega told movietonic.com : “Biggest Loser is an inspirational reality show unlike Big Boss and Big Brother, there is no celebrity in this show all the participants are common office going people and are like all of us. When these contestants lose their excess weight, the people around them will get inspiration from them and will try to lose their excess weight.

When he asked about the Idea behind this and the selection criteria of the contestants he said, “as every one knows these days people in India are becoming more conscious about their health and fitness as a result we can see n number of gyms and fitness centers at each and every nook & corner. We want to bring a revolutionary change in India. Actually we were looking for a concept that can really have some thing to prove and we found this concept. And we went abroad to bye the rights of this show and observed certain tapes of this reality show. This show is already been a successful series in 22 countries and our India is the 23 ^rd country in which this show is introduced.

Bollywood action star Suneel Shetty makes his debut on small screen as a host with this reality show. Being a fitness freak and sport lover, he is very much excited about being a part of the show. We decided Suneil Shetty as the host of this show because he has been a fitness Icon for many individuals. And he not only preaches about the fitness also practice in his real life he added. Adding more to this he said, “we did auditions with a team of doctors in different states of the country by keeping some parameters such as control over Blood pressure and other ailments, the age criteria is between 18 to 42, and the minimum weight to participate in this show is 97 Kgs. to near by hundred or above hundred. We have contestants from 97 Kgs to 196 Kgs. in this series. We did proper medical test of the contestants in order to assure that whether they are fit for the exercise regime that will be asked them to under go”. He said that there is every thing in this program, which has to be there in a good entertainment program emotion, fun, excitement etc.

 

A person with over weight will normally have so many health ailments and in this show contestants are undergoing so many exercises like running, Joggers, Swimming and some dynamic yogasana’s etc. and has risk of heart attack, lack of respiration so the organizers of this show are well equipped with a panel of doctors that always monitor them 24X7 to check the changes in their health. And a team comprising of a Health & Fitness Director- Andrew Leipus he is the former physiotherapist of Indian Cricket Team, during his tenure the players never faced any problem due to injuries or any health hazards, and as trainers Deepika Mehta & Yusuf.I.Khan who are experts and specialists in the fitness & training arena. They already trained many bollywood stars and corporate personalities like Aishwarya Bachchan, Bipasha Basu etc. and a Culinary Nutritionist Varun Shivdasani who has a through knowledge of the nutritional food. A Cardiologist Dr. Ajit Desai and a Psychiatrist Sameer Parekh to scrutinize the mental status of the contestants, because all the contestants have to stay in a common bubble at Aamby Valley, Mumbai for weeks to gather.
