Jhoom Barabar Jhoom will be Yash Raj Films second film this year following Ta Ra Rum Pum. I loved Shaad Ali’s Saathiya but was pretty much disappointed by his next venture Bunty Aur Babli. So how will Jhoom Barabar Jhoom prove to be? The promos lokk interesting. The songs simply rock!!! So expectations are sky high. Let’s see if Jhoom Barabar Jhoom stands upto those expectations.

The latest promo of Jhoom Barabar that is making rounds on the music channels is Ticket To Holllywood. The song sung by Neeraj Shridhar of Bombay Vikings singer  and Alisha Chinai is a  fun filled track and will be a hit among the audiences. The lyrics by Gulzar seem a bit weird as it’s hard to understand why Abhishek is asking Lara for a “Ticket To Hollywood”. But the track could well be a situational one. So then Ticket To Hollywood gets a Thumbs Up from me.

There has been huge talk about Aishwarya and Abhishek’s appearance at Cannes. But there is another actress who is also quite a regular at Cannes, and that’s Bollywood’s bubbly girl Preity Zinta. Preity Zinta who was there to promote luxury watch and jewellery manufacturer Chopard, looked simply dazzling in her yellow outfit

She spoke to Rajeev Masand from CNN IBN about why being at Cannes was so special and what she felt about this year’s films showcasing at Cannes.

Since her first appearance as a part of team Devdas, Aishwarya Rai has been a regular at the Cannes film festival. But this time she shared the limelight with her hubby Abhishek Bachchan. The couple dazzled at Cannes and looked very happy.

Here’s Aishwarya’s first interview post marriage with CNN IBN’s Rajeev Masand in which Aishwarya spoke about happiness after marriage, about Sarrkar 2 with Amitabh and Abhishek, the trouble caused by mean journalists and she also gave a glimpse of her wedding ring. So do check the video out.

Cannes is one of the top-most film festival that showcases some of the best films from around the world. And this time Cannes showcased the Ash-Abhi pair. It was Aishwarya Rai’s and Abhishek Bachchan’s first public appearance post their honeymoon. Abhishek and Aishwarya Bachchan, who were in French Polynesia on their honeymoon, headed to Nice immediately afterwards for the 60th Annual Cannes Film Festival, which is scheduled to be held from May 16 to 28, 2007.

Ash, who is a regular at the Cannes fest since 2002 (when Devdas was screened), is attending the fest this year as the brand ambassador for French cosmetics giant L’Oreal. Ash and Abhi will be present during the screening of ‘Guru’ on Sunday. Ash will also promote her upcoming movie Jodha Akbar .

Ash looked stunning but slightly tired in an off-shoulder white gown and a sparkling diamond necklace. Abhishek looked equally charming in a formal black suit. It was Abhishek’s first visit to Cannes. The couple posed for photographers and walked up the steps of the Theatre Grand Lumiere for the opening film ‘My Blueberry Nights’, directed by Wong Kar Wai and starring Jude Law and Norah Jones.

Chain Kulli Ki Main Kulli, directed by film maker Kituu Salooja is basically a children’s comedy film. The movie stars Rahul Bose and child artisite Zain Khan. The movie is also supposed to have cricketer Kapil Dev essaying a small role in it. The film is produced by Ken Ghosh of Ishq Vishq fame. So here’s a preview of Chain Kulli Ki Main Kulli for all our readers. Do read it, seems to be interesting.

Chain Kulli Ki Main Kulli, a children’s film, is a journey of an orphan boy of 13 years of age who dares to dream big and thereby, proves to the world that “Believe in yourself and the world will be at your feet”. The film revolves around an orphan boy, Karan (Adil Badshah), who lives in a dilapidated orphanage owned by a stern, uncouth warden, John Kakkad. Karan has two dreams, one is to have parents and the other is to be a big cricketer.

His inspiration is Kapil Dev since he has been brought up on the motivating stories of India’s ‘83 world cup win by the orphanage caretaker, Bholu Dada who is a loving and a gentle old man. Karan’s best buddy in the orphanage is Daboo who often lends his gentle ears to the aspirations which Karan lives on. His dreams take a turn when one day, he lays his hands on an old cricket bat which Karan is convinced is the bat that Kapil Dev used to win the ‘83 World Cup, and for him the bat becomes a magic bat.

Annie : she is sexy, hot and she has a sensuous voice. What more do you need to become a star. Annie is originally from Pakistan and has taken the music industry out there with a storm with her first song Mahia. Her first album Princess released in 2006 was a huge hit and she bowled out her Pakistani fans with her beauty and innocent voice.

Her great voice combined with her groovy moves are a treat to the ears and eyes as well. The unique thing about her song is that she combines English words with Hindi in a very synergestic fashion. The only thing I can say to Annie is : “tu ne aisi adaa se mujhe dekha, dil ho gaya nisaar mahiya” .

Dhol will be Priyadarshan’s next movie after his last year’s hit Bhagam Bhag. The film like Priyan’s most films is an out and out comedy.

Priyadarshan has ensembled a totally unique star cast for Dhol. the star line up includes Sharman Joshi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, Tanushree Dutta, Om Puri and Rajpal Yadav,and Payal Rohatgi.

If the trailer of the film is anything to go by, then Dhol is going to be one helluva laugh riot. Dhol looks to be a quadrangular love story. Wherein Sharman, Tusshar, Kunal and Rajpal are all trying to woo Tanushree.

Apoorva Lakhia’s Shootout At Lokhandwala looks very impressive from its promos, but the film has attracted trouble even before its release. Shoot Out At Lokhandwala narrates a real life 6 hour encounter of the Bombay police with five criminals in 1991. It deals with an encounter between the Maya Dolas gang ( aide of Dawoood Ibrahim) and the police, in broad daylight and which shook thw whole of Lokhandwala.

Vivek Oberoi plays the role of the gangster Maya Dolas in the film while Amrita Singh plays his mother. Problem arose when real Maya Dolas’s mother read Amrita Singh’s recent interview where she said that Maya’s mother encouraged him to become a gangster. Maya’s mother then sent a legal notice to Sanjay Gupta’s production house White Feather Films.
