Shootout At Lokhandwala Movie Review

Bollywood loves telling tales of gangsters and underworld dons. Shootout at Lokhandwala is a film of a similer genre which takes you bak to 1991 where the ATS headed by A.A Kahn (potrayed by Sanjay Dutt) squad of mumbai killed Maya Dolas( portrayed by Vivek Oberoi) and his gang.Apoorva Lakhiya’s last two directorial ventures, Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost and Ek Ajnabee, failed at the box office. But the director seems to have bounced back with his new film, Shootout At Lokhandwala, starring Sanjay Dutt, Vivek Oberoi, Suneil Shetty, Amitabh Bachchan, Tusshar Kapoor, Arbaaz Khan and Dia Mirza.

The movie has had a decent opening at the box office. Lets see what the critics have to say about Shoot Out At Lokhandwala.

Martin D’Souza : All in all, an engrossing fare. SHOOTOUT AT LOKHANDWALA leaves you breathless as the credits roll. A thriller to the core.
Movie Rating : 5/5

Rajeev Masand: Shootout At Lokhandwala is pointless, lacks focus and substance, is meandering and makes very little sense.
Movie Rating : 1/5

Taran Adarsh : On the whole, SHOOTOUT AT LOKHANDWALA will meet with mixed reactions. A section of moviegoers [masses especially] would love the violent proceedings, while the ladies/families might give it cold shoulder. At the box-office, the terrific cast and promotion will ensure a fantastic start for the film..
Movie Rating : 3/5

Ashok Nayank: Shootout At Lokhandwala has curtailed its audience by its crude and violent theme. It’s definitely not a family entertainer. Business will be good at multiplex and especially in Mumbai.
Movie Rating : 3/5

TNN:
GET READY FOR A THRILLER DOSE: The city of Mumbai, once again, plays a pulsating, live entity in the film as the gangsters and the cops wageRat their relentless war for supremacy
Movie Rating : 4/5

Nikhil Kumar : All in all, ‘Shootout’ is not bad for watching once.
Movie Rating : 2.5/5

Manisha Vardhan :On the surface level, the story works fine as events follow events. But it is in his bid to add subtext that he fails.
Movie Rating : 3/5

Joginder Tuteja : Apoorva Lakhia succeeds in making his two hour film a gripping fare though the brutality at points may leave a few gasping for air.
Movie Rating : 3.5/5
