Box Office Report : Ta Ra Rum Pum

If you haven’t understood what TRRP stands for, then you haven’t checked out last week’s starrer TA RA RUM PUM. When A Movie comes with the Yash Raj tag, then it is bound to be a hit. THe only exceptions and there are few mind it(like Neal and Nikki) that are disasters at the Box Office. But Siddarth Anand’s Ta Ra Rum Pum was your typical candy floss feel good Yash Raj Film. And well how could it go wrong. Also it had the hit Hum Tum(Saif-Rani) jodi,

But surprisingly Ta Ra Rum Pum didn’t open with great box-office collections. It had a rather surprising dismal box-office opening of just about 60-65%. The movie picked up only on Sunday. A major reason being that there were no new releases to compete with TRRP at the box-office.

So TRRP is a Hit. But will it go on to be a super-hit? That’s the question that one and all is asking. This week too there were no new releases apart from Gautam Ghosh’s Yatra. But Ta Ra Rum Pum does face competition from Hollywood release Spidey(Spider Man -3). So will Ta Ra Rum Pum continue to rule at the Box-Office? The question will be answered with time……
