Channel V Vj Sarah Jane Crowned Miss India

‘If you had to convince a rural woman to participate in the Miss India contest, how would you do it?”

“I would first remind this rural woman that she has every right to the privileges if she wins,” was 24-year-old Sarah Jane Dias’ answer, which won her the Miss India crown.

A VJ by profession, Sarah was one of the 25 contestants who participated in the pageant on Sunday evening.

While aspiring writer Puja Chitgopekar was declared first runner-up, an MBBS student Puja Gupta was crowned the second runner up.

 

 

It was a star-studded two-and-a-half hours event comprising impressive judges from the world of showbiz that included Sanjay Dutt, Priyanka Chopra, director Subhash Ghai and top model Ujwalla Raut.

Tushhar Kapoor, Koena Mitra and Lara Dutta along with Rabbi Shergill charmed the audience with their performances.

And the question that now remains is like their predecessors will the three most beautiful women of India be the newest faces in the world of showbiz?
