 Apart from the catchy title, this new movie produced by Rajat Kapoor claims to revive a once-favourite but now neglected character in cinema: the good-hearted simpleton. In a word, the idiot.

  “A fool is someone who considers himself to be wise. Someone with a limited experience. One who continuously reacts to ones surroundings immediately. His natural thought is through emotions and that’s what makes him a fool”, says actor-director Rajat Kapoor on his forthcoming film Bheja Fry.

But why is he talking about a fool? That’s because he plays the character of Ranjeet Thadani in the film, a bored, arrogant music company executive who lives up his upper class existence by attending “talent dinners” hosted by his friends and him. And what are these talent dinners? “A dinner where a group of friends invite a fool, make fun of him and enjoy at his expense. The one who brings over the biggest fool of the lot, wins”, explains Rajat about the theme of Bheja Fry.
