Ravi Dewan Back In Action

 

Action master and producer Ravi Dewan is back to his first love. He will direct the action for Ashutosh Gowariker’s Jodha Akbar. The film stars Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai.

His last film as an action director was Gadar- Ek Prem Katha. In the interim, he has produced films like Vinashak, Annarth and Khabri-The Informer.

Says Dewan excitedly, “I could not refuse this offer. I have worked with Ashutosh in his debut film Pehla Nasha. This is a historical as well as a war saga. I am even using the support of computer gadgets in this film. Ashutosh has given me full liberty in this film, shooting for which is already in progress in Jaipur.”

Dewan also informs that his return to action direction has got him similar offers from Sanjay Gupta and Afzal Khan who have offered him their films. “There are more offers coming too,” he says.

Dewan has learnt his skills from Ravi Khanna and Shetty. He has doubled for Dilip Kumar in films like Aag Ka Dariya, Dharam Adhikari and Duniya, and for actors like Dharmendra and Dara Singh too. Dewan has provided action for films like Jalwa, Ram Lakhan, Saudagar, Bhai, Krishna, Khalnayak, Parinda, 1942- A Love Story, Hum, Bombay, Anth, Chalbaaz amongst others.
