Mr. India 2 —- A Sequel To Mr. India
The remake wave seems to have caught on our film makers. Love it or hate it. The remake trend is here to stay.
Mr. India directed by ace director Shekar Kapur is about to be remade. Boney Kapoor will produce the film. Sridevi will supposedly make a comeback with this film. The movie will also retain the original Mr. India, Anil Kapoor. The film is to be directed by Nikhil Advani.
Says Nikhil: “Yes I’ve been sounded out. Boney and I have had preliminary meetings. It would be an honour to continue the ‘Mr India’ story. I can’t see myself being anywhere near Shekhar. And yes, I can’t see a ‘Mr India’ sequel without Anil Kapoor and Sridevi.”

“It’s a good possibility. I feel Sri is looking her best and ready for a vehicle. But it has to be vehicle worthy of her, and ‘Mr India’ is certainly something she would be proud to do,” Boney told IANS.
Ever since his “No Entry” turned into a surprise money-spinner for producer Boney, he has been lying surprisingly low.
Boney enjoys the joke.
“Isn’t that ironical? When my films weren’t doing well I was releasing films almost every other month. Now, when I’ve a solid hit I’ve chosen to withdraw and gather together my thoughts, make sure that my finances and creative departments are fully operational before launching into the next.”
But the question everyone is asking is who will play the part of Mogambo, a role immortalised by the great Amrish Puri. Sources say that it will be Gulshan Grover. Now that’s a big disappointment. Gulshan Grover is good as the Bad Man but as Mogambo, no ways.
Who do you guys think should play the role of Mogambo? I for once think that it should be Boman Irani or perhaps Naseerudin Shah. What do you guys feel?
